  3. Thanks for these two videos, they helped explain further about the digestive system and how peristalsis really works. I think peristalsis is necessary so food can go through the esophagus and enter the stomach. I think without peristalsis, food would probably get stuck because they weren't able to slid down the esophagus. They occur in the esophagus, stomach, and in the large and small intestine
